Guests in studio this week:
Although Jo Ann Brookes never saw herself in sales or even remotely representing a cosmetics company, she has been an Independent Mary Kay Beauty Consultant for 8 years now and has loved every minute of it! Before Mary Kay Jo Ann was an executive secretary, elementary school teacher, potter, and soap maker, and one thing she’s really proud of is having hand-thrown all the bathroom sinks and accessories for the log home in Snoqualmie which she and her husband built and have lived in now for 21 years! Jo Ann has two beautiful grown children. She’s a sourdough bread baker, gardener, hiker, and backpacker, and loves foraging for wild edibles, especially mushrooms. Prior to Mary Kay she was a soap & water kind of girl and never wore makeup, but thought she’d give this a try! In this week’s episode, Jo Ann talks about why you should choose Mary Kay. Listen to Jo Ann’s segment.
Carolyn always said she wanted to become a nurse, even when she didn’t know what it meant. In high school, she went to a local college that offered a BS in Nursing and loved it. Having never been sick, nor did she know anyone who was sick, it brought to learn compassion and wanted all her patients to be well. After school, she went to work as a critical care nurse and loved it. And she was known to eagerly accept patients others hid from, which opened other opportunities, including advanced education leading to certification. Carolyn always sorts information on the causes of the illnesses of her patients, however, it was years later, a chance phone call that would lead to the answers she had long sought. An invitation to join a regional health study opened the door to a new life. In this week’s episode, Carolyn talks about chronic illness and how it can be reversed. Listen to Carolyn’s segment.
