Terry Carlson was trained as an Irlen Screener in 2008 and an Irlen Diagnostician in 2011. She also has a Masters in Special Education/Endorsement in Reading.  She has been teaching in the public-school system for over 20 years, in the secondary Special Education Literacy Programs. Terry was introduced to the Irlen overlays when she was searching for specific interventions when student’s progress stalled. She was given a set of overlays by the literacy coach, placed them on the text that the students were reading and they immediately reported: “the words don’t move anymore, I can see the words clearly now.” They then advanced quickly once this barrier was removed. Jeff Butler grew up working in his family’s restaurant from the age of 12 till after high school. After graduating high school, he pursued an aviation mechanics license and business degree. Working as an auto restoration specialist since 1991, he restored vintage vehicles such as Alfa Romeo, Porsche, and BMW until moving his business to Lake City.  Today, Jeff operates Haury’s Lake City Collision, an OEM Certified Collision Repair Center as well his appraisal and accident inspection company Collision Consulting of Washington. Jeff inspects wrecked and repaired vehicle to verify correct repairs, writes appraisals for total loss claims, diminished value claims and disputed repair claims.
